About Us

Our Company

Flux Enviro was established in 2020 by John and Andrew Moag, following many years working together in environmental consultancy, specialising in waste management, contaminated land and site investigation. Their combined experience spans more than 50 years across environmental monitoring, including groundwater, surface water, soil, landfill gas, meteorology and environmental training.

Having experienced first-hand the challenges of sourcing reliable, specialist environmental monitoring equipment, John and Andrew saw an opportunity to do things differently. The aim was simple: to provide a local, technically focused service giving customers direct access to high-quality instrumentation, backed by knowledgeable and practical support. From the outset, the ambition was not simply to sell or rent equipment, but to help customers select, deploy and maintain the right equipment for their application. This combination of quality instrumentation, technical expertise and local support remains at the heart of Flux Enviro today.

The business began trading in January 2021 in partnership with long-standing supplier Van Walt UK. In 2024, we made the decision to become fully independent and focus exclusively on the Irish market, rebranding as Flux Enviro. We continue to work closely with Van Walt, supporting their product ranges locally, while developing our own portfolio of specialist environmental monitoring technologies and services.

Today, Flux Enviro supplies, rents and supports high-quality environmental monitoring equipment throughout Ireland, with particular expertise in water, soil, gas, flow and meteorological monitoring. Our capabilities are delivered through six complementary areas: Sales, Rental, Servicing, Field Services, Training and Technical Support.

Together, these services allow us to support equipment throughout its working life – from initial specification and procurement through installation, commissioning, training, servicing, calibration and ongoing technical support.

Our goal remains straightforward: to provide the right equipment, backed by the right technical support, exactly where and when it is needed.

Our Approach

At Flux Enviro, we combine technical expertise with a practical, solutions-focused mindset. Led by John and Andrew, our team understands the real-world challenges faced by environmental practitioners and we seek to support clients with appropriate, cost effective and high quality solutions.

Rather than simply supplying equipment, we work alongside our clients to understand their objectives, propose the best solution and provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle. We listen, design, support and deliver value.

Our philosophy is simple: Solutions we can support.

Industry Partners

Alongside our own range of products and services, Flux Enviro works with many of the world’s leading environmental equipment manufacturers, including YSI and SonTek (Xylem brands), LORENTZ, Geotech, Gill Instruments, KELLER, Van Walt, Seametrics and AMS, among others.

We choose to partner with manufacturers whose equipment has a proven track record in the field and whose products align with our commitment to quality, reliability and long-term support. These relationships give our clients access to established, industry-leading technologies, backed by local technical expertise, practical application knowledge and responsive after-sales support.
